Why We Built nrol
Great ideas may begin with a few people. But meaningful change is never built alone.
nrol was founded by two people who, in very different rooms, kept running into the same problem: people making some of the most consequential decisions of their lives — a patient choosing where to trust their care, a student choosing where to trust their future — inside systems that were never built to be understood from the outside.
One of us spent three decades inside healthcare, watching how much a hospital’s accreditation, its processes and its people determined whether patients received the outcomes they deserved. The other spent over a decade inside higher education, watching students and families navigate admissions and career decisions with little more than scattered advice and good intentions.
Different industries. Same pattern. High-stakes decisions, made without a system built to guide them.
nrol is what we built once we recognized we had been solving the same problem twice.

A business leader and entrepreneur with 30+ years of cross-sector experience, including 18+ years in healthcare operations and hospital administration. André holds a PhD in Management and is also the founder of AccredAI, an AI-driven platform for hospital accreditation and performance intelligence — built on the same conviction driving nrol: that complex, high-stakes systems get dramatically better when they are made intelligible and navigable, not just automated.
At nrol, he leads the vision, strategy, product and technology direction.
Dr. Aradhana Tyagi
Co-Founder
A management professional and academic with 15+ years of experience, including 3+ years as an Assistant Professor in HR at a leading private university. She holds a PhD in Management and brings experience across management, HR, higher education and academic ecosystems— the vantage point of someone who has spent years inside the very institutions students are trying to navigate.
At nrol, she brings the education, student and academic perspective to the platform.
